Sojourn '09

lots and lots of ideas for this one at first, but to save costs decided to simplify everything and work with two tones. not very used to the lack of detail though hahah.

UKBound '09

paris/venice/rome - highlights!

- listening to Yann Tiersen on the Eurostar to Paris
- cooking salty chicken at Jess's place
- girl talk before going to bed (I learnt a lot)
- tourist traps in Venice
- taking silly sunset pictures at st giorgio
- eating cherries and planning the itinery
- sitting on the roadside and eating pizza before heading off to colosseum
- 1.30 for 3 scoops of gelato at vatican city AND conversing with the italian guy in manadarin
- san crispino's honey gelato
- watching the guy toss pizza and bake it over wood fire
- and then eating it on the way to termini
- luxembourg at dusk. beautiful
- alighting from the eurostar at london only to get a call from waiyee asking me to hurry over to the London Music Festival
- watching nikko mcbrain and steve vai at the music festival
- and finally, seranading WaiYee with Yon Jan for a full 2 hours I believe, with songs we made up on the spot

More packing. It's like dissembling piece by piece the life that you'd built for yourself over the past 9 months, and when you're done you leave the room seemingly empty, save for the memories that had accumulated there. It reminds you of the day you first entered the room and thought to yourself: "so this is the place I'll be staying in for the next nine months" They say you change when you live by yourself overseas, and you cannot help but wonder as you step out of the room for the last time whether you are the same person who first stepped in.

Haven't really had a chance to relax since exams ended..first it was packing stuff then it was housing and now got two posters to do for UKBound - one for the dance competition and one for the clubbing event. Specifications: dance competition one has a hip-hop guy+girl, clubbing event one involves a sexy girl (i would never dream of drawing a sexy girl of my own free will oh NO)
